Licence terms

The licence

A Personal licence covers one person and one seat. A Team licence covers up to five people. A licence is perpetual: it does not expire, and it keeps working for the version of the app you activated. Updates released while your licence is active are included.

Licence keys are signed Ed25519 tokens, verified locally by the app. They are personal to the purchaser and are delivered by email.

What you may do

• Use the paid tools on any device you control, up to your seat count.
• Use the output of the tools — files, SQL, schemas, reports — for any purpose, including commercial work.
• Keep using the app offline, including on an air-gapped machine, after activation.

What you may not do

• Share, publish or resell your licence key, or activate it on more seats than you purchased.
• Redistribute, sublicense or resell the app itself.
• Remove or circumvent the licence check, or use the app to break the law.

Warranty and liability

The app is provided “as is”. We work hard to make the Parquet, Avro and SQL engines correct, but we do not warrant that every file or query will produce a particular result. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for your licence. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future releases. The version that applied when you bought your licence continues to cover that licence.
