Privacy

Your files

Files you open in the DataEngUtils app are read by your browser and processed on your device. They are not uploaded to us or to any third party, and we have no way to access them. When you close the tab, the file is gone from memory.

What we collect

• Checkout: payments are processed by Dodo Payments. They collect your email, name and payment details. We receive your email address, the plan purchased and a transaction identifier so we can issue and support your licence. We never see your card details.
• Licence activation and resend: when you activate a licence in the app, or request a resend from this site, we receive your licence key, the email address used at checkout and a random machine identifier. We store the activation so you can see where a licence is in use. The app verifies the signature locally; the activation call only records the activation.
• Analytics: when enabled, we use Plausible — a cookieless analytics service that records page views and referrers without setting cookies or fingerprinting you.
• Infrastructure logs: the site runs on Cloudflare, which keeps standard request logs (IP address, user agent, path, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention. Requests to licence endpoints are rate-limited by IP.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent personal data.
• We do not run advertising networks or third-party trackers.
• We do not upload or inspect the files you process.

Retention

Licence records and activation records are kept while your licence is valid, so you can restore or reinstall. Payment records are retained by Dodo Payments as required by tax law. Analytics data is aggregated and contains no personal identifiers.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email license@dataengutils.com from the address you used at checkout and we will respond within 30 days. Deleting your licence record does not affect your statutory rights, and it may mean we can no longer restore your licence.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page. Questions about privacy can go to license@dataengutils.com.
